Sentences decided in fake Botox scandal An Arizona man who made almost $2 million selling fake Botox over the Internet told U.S. Judge James Cohn in Fort Lauderdale federal court Thursday he knew the doctors who ordered his product might use the unapproved drug on human patients.

Fake Botox doc plea bargains for two year sentence A Canadian doctor based in Arizona was sentenced to nearly two years in prison Thursday for selling a dangerous bootleg form of Botox to hundreds of physicians. Dr. Zahra Karim, 34, was originally sentenced to almost six years in prison, but she will be transferred to Canada after serving about 21 months and then released, according to her plea deal. She was also ordered to pay more than $345,000 US in restitution by U.S. District Judge James Cohn.
